Tutorial: Knit a Starbella Ruffle Tote

The Starbella Ruffle Tote is larger than a handbag. The larger size is great to use when heading out to the park and day trips with the family.

Here's what you'll need:
• 4 Skeins of Starbella
• Size 13 Needles, 24" Long
• Stitch Marker

Find a list of abbreviations and their signification here.

Bag Bottom
Working Starbella as it comes off the ball.
Cast on 20 sts. Knit 4 Rows.
Do not turn work place marker (pm).

Step 1:  Pick up and knit 4 sts from side of rows (pm).
Step 2:  Pick up and knit 20 sts from cast on edg (pm).
Step 3:  Pick up and knit 4 sts from side of rows (pm).
Step 4:  Work across 20 sts. Join. You will now be working in the rnd.

Main Part
Knit 10 rows as it comes off the ball.
*Pull yarn out to ruffle knit 2 rows.*
Knit 4 rows as it comes off the ball.
Repeat last 6 rows 4x.
Work 2 rows with ruffles.
K1 Row as it comes off the ball.
P1 Row as it comes off the ball.
Knit.
Bind off.
Work 2-3 sts I cords for straps 23" long or desired length.
Sew on straps.

Line if desired, placing plastic canvas in the bottom.
