DIY Photo Collage Hanging Plaque for Grandpa

We love to make photo collages on pretty much any surface (because we love photos!), but today we're using one of our new wood hanging plaques. The corners are cut out which gives this plaque a whole new look. With the jute rope already attached to the back, it's ready to hang when you are! And the great news is that it's on sale now through June 18, 2017. Keep reading for price information.

Choosing the pictures will be a fun time for you and the kids. Finding the ones that grandpa will love the most, which will include for sure special moments with the grand-kids. Now that you have picked your pictures, cut them the way you want them to fit on the board.

It's now time to paint the board with DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paint (color of your choice). Let dry completely before moving on. You need to also paint the letter G with a contrast color (your choice). Once your board is dry, use Mod Podge to adhere the photos to it. (here's a video on how to apply Mod Podge) Also apply a coat on top of the pictures to seal and protect them.

For the next step, you'll need to stop by our store to pick up the "is for Grandpa" self-adhesive vinyl. (here's a video on how to apply Vinyl). Just peel and stick to your board. Use E2000 glue to attach the G letter in place.

This 17.5" x 8" unfinished cut-corner wood plaque is on sale now through June 18, 2017. (see entire ad here).
Reg. $12.99 | SALE $8.88

We know for sure that Grandpa will cherish his new photo collage plaque for years to come. Don't forget to sign the back and put the date so that everyone in the family knows it comes from you and the kids.
