DIY Clear Glass Paper Weights or Magnets

This would be a great gift for Mother's Day, Father's Day, a teacher, a coach, or a friend. You can personalize it with a picture or an inspirational saying. Scrapbooking paper is a great place to find "quotes" and "sayings" of all sorts. The paper weight can also be placed on a small easel for a fun way to display your gift.

Materials you'll need:
Clear Glass Paper Weights
Scissors or X-Acto Knife
Pencil
Glossy Accent Glue
Small Sponge Brush
Flat Disc Magnets
E6000 Adhesive
Pictures, Decorative Paper, or Quotes
Small Easel (optional)

Let's get started!

Place your paper weight onto your paper or photo. Trace around it. Cut the shape out with your scissors or X-Acto knife.

Brush a thin layer of Glossy Accent Glue to the right side of your paper. Place your paper on the back side of your paper weight. It takes a few minutes to dry, so you have time to re-position it if needed. Press lightly to seal the paper to the glass. Let dry.

If needed, trim off any excess of paper with the X-Acto knife.

Magnet: We used E6000 adhesive to glue the magnet to the back of the glass piece.
