Easy Rock Painting Ideas

We are sure that by now you have heard about the rock painting craze that's growing rapidly all over the world. People are really having fun painting rocks and leaving them in public places for other people to find. It's a great activity to do with the family! And it's also a great way to share your art and spread your passion of creativity with others. It is contagious and we hope a lot of people will be infected!

If you're interested in painting some rocks, join us at our Paint Your Own Rocks event where you'll use OUR supplies to paint your own rocks! This is scheduled for Sat. August 5 OR Sat. August 19, 2017 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm (everyone is welcome!) - no registration needed. Only $1.00 to participate! Don't forget to bring your own rocks.

If you doubt that you can do this, let us reassure you, YOU CAN! Here are some very simple rocks that our team painted to inspire you.  Some are funny, like the underwear one below. Some are inspiring, and some are just stinking cute!

Of course, having good painting supplies to paint your rocks will help you get a better result. We have acrylic paints including the new FolkArt 3D acrylic paints, POSCA Paint Pens (that are super popular for rock painting), sharpies, Allure paints, sealers (many options to choose from), brushes of all sizes, and we even have bags of rocks in case you can't find smooth rocks. To learn more about the supplies needed to paint your rocks, Anita and Kathy at our Bonney Lake store put together a great "Rock Painting 101" post that will clarify any confusion as far as rock painting supplies and sealants. Read their post here.
