DIY Glass Block Photo Light - gift for Mom!

If you are looking for ideas as far as unique Mother's Day gifts, this would certainly be one of those gifts that will bring a huge smile on your mom's face!

The main piece of this project is a glass block that stands by itself and has a hole in it that allows you to insert lights, embellishments, photos and much more!

To get started, you'll need your photo printed on Self-Adhesive Printable Transparency Sheets available at any office supply store (follow instructions on the package to print your photo).

Once you have your photo printed on the transparent sheet, trim it to fit the front of your block. Peel the backing off, and press it onto the front of the glass block. Now all you have to do is insert a string of craft lights inside the block.

Wrap a ribbon around the block and tie with a bow. Embellish with flowers and other materials, such as stickers and vinyl sayings.

All the supplies (except the Transparency Paper) to make this unique Mother's Day gift are available at our Ben Franklin Crafts store in Monroe, WA. Stop by and we'll help you get started with your new craft project!
