RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS WEEK 2015

Last week was an eye opener for a lot of us. During the RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS WEEK {Feb. 9-15, 2015}, we heard a lot of stories that we normally don't hear about (because they are not big enough to make it on the news). But last week gave us the opportunity to share those stories of kindness. People being kind to each other, with no expectations. Our world is so full of ugliness, but those stories reminded us that there are good people surrounding us everywhere.

Here's a story that we'd like to share with you which was written by Jennifer Tidwell-Poole at Sweet Indulgence next door to us in the Ben Franklin plaza in Monroe, WA.

"The very coolest thing happened to me at Costco yesterday (Jan. 28, 2015)... It blew me away, so I must share. After finally making it through the line, went to pay and could not remember my pin # for debit card (didn't know they don't run as credit), didn't have a check on me, told the cashier I was sorry and started to walk away when he pulls out HIS credit card (remember, he doesn't even know me!!!) and swipes his card for our groceries... And it wasn't a cheap Costco run. He then says "just bring me back a check for the exact amount in the next few days, we can not accept gratuities, hope you have a great day!". Needless to say all faith in humanity was restored by this guy and his incredible kindness and generosity to a complete stranger. Amazing what a difference one person can make in a day.

Thank you Jennifer for sharing your story with us. Our wish for all of you is that you'll be that kind person for others. We can change this world, one story at a time!
