DIY Burlap Frame Mail Holder

Sometimes it's nice to have a place for everything. Keeps all that clutter from building up around the house. This mail holder was a snap to make. Most of the items are already made, it's just some simple assembly.

Supplies
  • 11"x 14" Frame With Burlap Backing
  • Vinyl Saying: Be Silly Be Honest Be Kind
  • Dark Brown Burlap 10¼" x 5¼"
  • Decorative Knob
  • Wall Mounted Wire Basket
  • 1 — 8" x 8" Board Canvas, or Chipboard
  • 1 — 12" x 12" Patterned Paper
  • Fast Grab Tacky Glue
  • E-6000 Glue
  • 2 Ply Jute Cording

Instructions If you cannot find a frame with burlap backing you can easily add some to a frame of your choice. Simply measure and cut a piece of burlap to fit inside the frame and remove the glass.
  1. Wrap scrapbook paper around canvas board (or chipboard) and adhere in place with fast grab tacky glue.
  2. Apply vinyl saying to the center of your paper wrapped canvas (or chipboard).
  3. Adhere the canvas board to the upper left corner of your burlap frame with fast grab tacky glue.
  4. Glue the knob to the right of the 8" x 8" Canvas. (Center between the frame and the canvas). Use E-6000 Glue.
  5. Cut a piece of burlap to fit behind the basket and glue in place with fast grab glue.
  6. Adhere the basket to the burlap with E-6000.
  7. Adhere a piece of jute to the outside edge of your frame, using fast grab glue.
