DIY Wood Block Photo for Dad

Here's an easy-to-make Father's Day gift idea! Paint some unfinished wood blocks in the color of your choice. Find your favorite picture of you and dad. Cut it in pieces to fit the blocks. Glue and seal the picture pieces to the blocks using Mod Podge. That's it!

When you cut your photo squares, make sure you cut them a little smaller than the actual block. This way when you adhere the photo to the block, the color of the painted block will create a frame around the image. But you may also decide that you don't want that look, so if you prefer you can cut the photos exactly the size of the blocks to cover the entire surface.

On the sides of the blocks that don't have pictures, cut out some decorative paper like we did. We used the "Story Book Paper Collection" by Kaisercraft. Glue them using the same technique as above.
