We painted the board with Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint by DecoArt. You may want to apply 2 coats depending on how much coverage you want.
The vinyl (by Decorating Your Life) is very easy to apply, so after your paint is dry, just peel and stick the vinyl on the plaque.
The shells (from Darice) have been glued in place. We love the E6000 glue, but you can use your favorite glue. To finish it off, we attached one small wood tag with charms.
This Mermaid Wood Tag project is done pretty much the same way. You'll paint the unfinished wood tag with Americana Chalky Finish Paint. Let it dry.
Peel and stick the vinyl mermaid and text to the tag. That's it!
