DIY Retro Holiday Shadowbox with Miniature Cars

We are in love with these miniature retro car ornaments! So we thought we'd use them in a shadowbox to create a fun winter scene. It's so easy to make this project! We have all the supplies you'll need at our Ben Franklin Crafts store in Monroe, WA. Most of them are on sale through Nov. 15, 2015 - CLICK HERE FOR PRICES. UPDATE: The mini trailer is sold out, but there's other retro cars available.

You'll need an unfinished shadowbox with lid that opens at the top. We stained it to give it a classic look. We glued a decorative sheet of paper to the back which will create your background for your winter scene. Add some artificial snow in the bottom. Add as much or as little as you want. Add miniature decorations like our adorable car ornaments and trees. Once finished, glue the "Merry Christmas Banner so it hangs on the front of the glass.

Here's another version our the shadowbox winter scene. Have fun with it!
