How to: Travel Tic-Tac-Toe Game

Keep the kids (or yourself for that matter!) busy on car trips with this simple travel tic-tac-toe game. There's even room for a score-pad, if you're keeping track.

 
Supplies
  • 1 — Metal Tin (approx. 3.5 In. x 5.5 In. x 1.75 In.)
  • Coordinating Scrapbook Paper
  • Tic Tac Toe vinyl decal, or hand draw with a permanent marker
  • 10 — 1/2 In Buttons
  • 10 — Strong Ceramic Magnets
  • Mod Podge
  • Foam Brush
  • Paper Trimmer/ Scissors
  • 1 — Mini Paper Pad
 

Directions:

Note: E-6000 is a strong adhesive! Before you begin, be sure you are in a well-ventilated area.

  1. Measure and cut (2) 1 Inch strips of scrapbook paper top fit around the bottom of the box with a slight overlap.
  2. Cut a piece of scrapbook paper approximately 5 ¼ In. x 3 ¼ In. to fit the lid of the box. (Round the corners)
  3. Mod Podge the papers in place. Let dry.
  4. Seal coat with a layer of Mod Podge. Let dry.
  5. Adhere the buttons to the magnets with E-6000 glue.
  6. Apply the vinyl to the lid of the box.
  7. Place your score pad in the box, along with your extra playing piece.
