DIY Flamingo Watercolor Block Canvas

This canvas block is part of the Cosmo Cricket "Just Add Watercolor" line that we introduced to you last year. So instead of being just the paper to which you add watercolor, the paper is actually wrapped around the canvas block. Once finished, you can hang it, or stand it on a flat surface.

The FLAMINGO canvas block is one of our favorites! It already has the letters that will spell out "Be a flamingo in a flock of pigeons". The clear letters and the gold foil flamingo will resist the watercolor you apply on top of it.  So as you start painting, you'll see the canvas come to life. Once you're done painting, use a clean damp rag to go over the letters to remove any paint. Since they will resist the paint, it's just a matter of wiping the extra paint.

You can make this as simple as you want or as complicated as you want. It's your design so have fun with it!

Letters are revealed as you apply watercolor.
