DIY Small Wood Cabinet with Vinyl Birds on a Wire

Keep your small items in this adorable wood cabinet with drawers that was decorated with paper and knobs. It's really easy to make!

Paint the unfinished cabinet in a color that matches your paper. The paper from Simple Stories "Summer Vibes" is a heavy weight so it's perfect for this project. We cut 9 pieces to cover the front of the drawers and adhered it with Mod Podge. (How to use Mod Podge video available here). Use that same Mod Podge medium to seal the paper. We chose a different paper to cover the sides. You can also leave it without the paper to show the color of the paint.

Tip: We like to place the drawer face down on the paper and trace around it to make our template. Same thing for the sides if you decide to cover them with paper.

If you want to make it even more special, glue paper inside the drawers too. Measure with a ruler to get the dimension of the inside walls and cut those pieces out of the same paper, or another paper that matches the colors on your cabinet. Glue those paper pieces inside using Mod Podge.

Once you're done gluing the paper pieces, make sure to let dry completely before moving on to the next step.

Decorate the bottom 3 drawers with the Self-Adhesive Vinyl "Birds on a Wire" Graphic.

We sell these adorable knobs that are really fun for this project. Use E6000 Glue to glue those in the front of each drawer.
