DIY Sleigh Bells Ring Holographic Glass Block

It's so easy to make this Christmas holographic glass block light!

Here are the supplies you'll need:

• 7.5" Glass Block with an opening on the top (on sale now thru Nov. 19, 2017)
• Holographic self-adhesive paper
• Self-adhesive vinyl "Sleigh Bells Ring, are you listening?"
• FireFly battery-operated tiny light set (comes with remote control)
• 1 wood block
• Scrapbook paper "A Very Merry Christmas" from the Christmas Countdown paper collection by Carta Bella
• Mod Podge + 1 foam brush
• Green acrylic paint + 1 foam brush

Directions:

Place your wood block on your paper. Trace around one of the sides (do that 4 times on your paper to create 4 rectangular pieces), and the end side (twice to create 2 pieces). When it's time to cut these pieces out, we like to cut them about 1/4" smaller than the traced line. This way you'll be able to see the green background on the block which creates a nice border.

Paint your wood block with the green acrylic paint. Let dry.

Brush Mod Podge on the back of your paper, and the block surface, then adhere together. You can also brush on a top coat to protect and seal the paper. (if you've never used Mod Podge, watch our video tutorial with Bonnie).

Clean the glass block with soap and water. Make sure to let it dry completely before moving on to the next step.

Apply the self-adhesive Holographic Paper to the front of the block. Then apply the vinyl quote on top of the holographic paper to the front of the block. Push the string of lights through the hole of the block. Add batteries to the lights and turn them on!
