Our background and all the layers are 12" x 12" sheets of paper from the Butterfly Garden collection by Ella & Viv. You'll need 4-5 sheets of the same design.
Take the back off the SPC shadow box. Glue your full sheet of paper to the back using tape or Mod Podge glue. This is your background. At this point you will insert the remote control operated Fire Fly light string that you can secure in place using transparent tape to make sure it doesn't move. Make sure to place it on the outer edge of your paper design where the flowers and butterflies are. Avoid placing any of the cording in the white area in the center.
The second layer of paper is going to be a second sheet of paper to which you'll cut out the center portion (the white center). Watch Bonnie's video for a tutorial on how to layer paper to create art: https://youtu.be/zrNX5DmuukU. You'll use 3D sticky squares to layer the second sheet on top of the lights. You can keep adding as many layers as you want using the 3D sticky squares. You may want to cut out the butterflies and glue them with 3D sticky squares which will give your design a three-dimensional look. Once you've added all the layers that you wanted, put the back with paper & lights layers into the shadow box.
Peel and stick the vinyl quote "Tread carefully, fairies play here!" and the vinyl fairy to the front of the glass. Make sure you clean the glass before doing that step. Enjoy!
