New Year's Eve DIY Party Decoration

We're just a few days away from the 2017 New Year's celebrations and parties, but there is still time to make this easy decoration!

Paint our unfinished wood star shelf with black acrylic paint. The star measures approximately 12 inches and is 2.75 inches deep and has a shelf to display small items. (it also includes 2 D-rings for easy mounting). Make sure you paint the inside and outside of your star. You'll also need to paint 4 small wood blocks to which we'll glue the numbers. Let dry completely.

Measure the outside of the star to know how much gold bling ribbon you'll need. Cut to the length needed. Use E6000 Glue to adhere the bling ribbon to the outside of the star. Do small sections at a time to make sure the ribbon is well aligned with the borders.

You'll also need some gold glitter paper for the numbers. Come in and use our Die Cut Machines to cut the numbers 2, 0, 1, and 7. We have many fonts to choose from. If you're not sure how to use our machines, click here to learn more.

Glue the numbers to the small wood blocks using E6000 glue. Place the blocks on the shelves. Your New Year decoration is ready to display!
