These cute boot cuffs are so adorable! The pattern is made by using basic cable knitting techniques. If you are new to cable knitting, head on over to Instructables for a free tutorial.
Boot Cuffs |
- Size 7 Double-pointed Needles
- Cable Needle
- Worsted Weight Yarn
- Yarn Needle
Special Abbreviations
C6B (Cable 6 Back): Slip 3 sts to a cable needle and hold to back of work. Knit the next 3 sts from the left-hand needle. Then, K3 sts from the cable needle.
C6F (Cable 6 Front): Slip 3 sts to a cable needle and hold to front of work. Knit the next 3 sts from the left-hand needle. Then, K3 sts from the cable needle.
K2tog (Knit two together)
SSK (Slip Stitch Knitwise): Slip stitch knitwise for 2 sts, then knit them together by placing left needle through the front of the two slipped stitches and knit off needle.
Instructions
- Cast on 52 sts, join in round
- Work k2, p2 until work measures 1½”
- k2 Rows
- Row 1: k9, p2, k2tog, yo, k9, yo, ssk, p2, k9, p2, k2tog, yo, k9, yo, ssk, p2
- Rows 2, 4, 6, 8: k9, p2, k13, p2, k9, p2, k13, p2
- Row 3: C6B, k3, p2, k2tog, yo, k9, yo, ssk, p2, C6B, k3, p2, k2tog, yo, k9, yo, ssk, p2
- Row 5: k9, p2, k2tog, yo, k9, yo, ssk, p2, k9, p2, k2tog, yo, k9, yo, ssk, p2
- Row 7: k3, C6F, p2, k2tog, yo, k9, yo, ssk, p2, k3, C6F, p2, k2tog, yo, k9, yo, ssk, p2
- Repeat rows 1-8, then rows 1-4 once more
- k2 rows
- Work k2, p2, rib until measures 1½”
- Bind off
- Weave in ends using yarn needle.
