DIY Melted Crayon Art Bouquet onto Canvas

This Melted Crayon Bouquet canvas will look stunning in any room in your house or office. You can use a black canvas, or simply paint a white canvas with black paint.

Supplies: 

• 11" x 14" Black Canvas (or white canvas that you'll paint black)
• Crayola Metallic Crayons 
• Artificial Flowers 
• Heat Gun 
• Quick Grip Adhesive 
• Scissors 
• Ribbon 
• Newspaper or Fabric

Directions:

1. Select the colors of the crayons you would like to use and peel off the paper.
2. Place your canvas onto an easel or lean your canvas onto a surface so that it's at an angle.
3. Lay newspapers or fabric underneath and around the canvas because the next few steps
may get a little messy. We are going to drip the crayons onto the canvas before gluing them to the canvas. A video tutorial created by our sister store in Bonney Lake is available to view HERE. Subscribe to our YouTube Channel to receive all our video tutorials.

4. Hold a crayon around the top part of the canvas and turn the heat gun on. If you do not have a heat gun, you can try your hair dryer, but we would suggest in testing how well the crayon melts with it.

5. Heat the crayon from behind to allow the crayon to drip onto the canvas. Keep the crayon
steady so that the drips create a path down the canvas.
6. After melting the crayon, set it aside and select another crayon to use.
7. Repeat steps 4-6 until you have the desired look.
8. Wait until the melted crayon has completely dried.
9. Place the canvas onto a flat surface.
10. Using Quick Grip, glue the crayons to the canvas in the desired design with the tips facing
up into the direction of the colored wax.
11. Trim ribbon to fit the width of the crayons and tuck the ends of the ribbon underneath the
last crayon on each side.
12. Cut flowers off the stem and glue them onto the canvas.
13. Set aside to let dry.
