Our popular Mystery Quilt Sewing Day with Janet Osborn is on January 1st from 10am - 5pm.

We invite you to experience a full day of laughter as you're learning new skills, enjoying a delicious lunch, and sewing a Mystery project with us. This project layout will be available in several sizes to meet your needs. Bring your favorite mug. We will have the coffee/tea on. Wear your comfortable sweats and be relaxed. You don’t need to start another project, you are invited to join the fun and work on finishing up a “mystery” of your own. You will still receive the information. 

How to: Holiday Cone Trees

There is still time left to add some simple decor before the company arrives! Read this tutorial to learn how to make these fabric covered cones perfect for a mantle display.

• Fabric
• Chipboard
• Ribbon
• Paper Mache Cones, in various sizes
• Glue Gun or Strong Double-sided tape
• Pencil
• Scissors

How to: Winter Scene Blocks

 

Have you ever used DecoArt's Snow-Tex before? It's a dimensional paste that looks similar to stucco. You can apply it to wood, glass, clay, paper mache and styrofoam to name a few. It can even be tinted! We used it to add "snow" to the tops of our wood blocks for this project.

Supplies:

• Six wooden blocks - varied widths and heights
• Vinyl letters that spell "Winter" to fit blocks
• Acrylic craft paint - we used Platinum from Ceramcoat
• Craft acrylic gloss varnish - optional
• Mod Podge
• Snow-Tex from DecoArt (and putty knife or popscile stick)
• Six bottle brush trees in various sizes
• Three (or more) plastic miniature deer
• Winter themed patterned papers
• Paper Trimmer, scissors or craft knife and straight-edge
• Mini snowflake buttons, stickers or dimensional embellishment and adhesive - optional
• Craft Mat - optional
• Craft Brushes, at least two
